Well Happy 2012 everyone, we made it! Another year down, another chance to start over with a fresh 365 days. People make resolutions, buy new clothes, pay off some debts, meet new people, yada yada. Often, everyone gets so caught up we lose sight of some of the more innocent joys in our lives. Take this exhibit for example.
Down in Australia, artist
Yayoi Kusama spent time painting this room completely white; ever chair, table, wall, shelf, etc. In short, she made the room a completely blank canvas. Young visitors to the museum were allowed to contribute to the project, and over a span of two weeks, happily plastered the room and its furnishings with thousands of stickers.

The Obliteration Room, kids happily stuck the walls and floors with various dots, over time creating a vibrant room of bright colors. Who can't remember being told by their parents to not draw on walls or tables? Now, the freedom of youthful creativity is being embraced in Brisbane. It's crazy to flip through the pictures and watch the project explode from a few colors to a full blown room of awe and wonder. Scroll down to see a few more shots from the show.
