Well shoot, it's been many moons since we've dropped an update (or a post) on you. There have been some big changes to the company; cosmetically everything appears the same but underneath, we are new. "O.G." is no more; out of the ashes comes Marvellus.
Why The New Name?
It took some serious discussion and debate, but we ultimately felt that "O.G." simply did not embody what we were striving for in our company. It didn't adequately convey who we are, who our followers are, what we want to do; simply put, it wasn't good enough. So why Marvellus? The sentiment of awe is what we wish to incite when customers see our designs. The focus of originality is coming up with an idea that is wholly unique and special from its inception; that idea must be marvelous.
What Changes To Expect?
None whatsoever. Besides the name, nothing is different. New designs and shirt lines will be the focus of our revamped company. Combining the laid back vibe of streetwear and the fun of comics, we want friends to be jealous of your clothes. And in turn, you would forward them over to Marvellus to stock up on our fresh gear.
Can I Work Here?
Absolutely, we are currently looking for writers to join our blog and get us hits. If you're looking for something fun to do in your spare time, don't hesitate to email us your resume and portfolio. We'll give it a good look over and get back to you ASAP.
What's Next?
Spread the news, share with Facebook friends and Twitter followers: Marvellus is the next line to own. In the coming weeks, we will release concept art for shirts and hope for feedback from y'all. Let us know what you think. Once we know what we're running with, we'll push forward with production and start getting the tees out to the public. As always, we will be blogging and keeping people up-to-date not only with our own developments, but news from around the world: sports, fashion, music, movies, etc.
Now that the update is finished, it's time for us to get back to work. Keep reading and sharing; we'll be back soon enough. PEACE.

Giants- Patriots Super Bowl Rematch
In what was one of, if not the most, exciting Championship weeks in a long time the Patriots and Giants advanced to the Super Bowl. Both teams were able to advance with a little luck and miscues by the Ravens and 49ers.
The Patriots came away with 23-20 victory after the Ravens kicker, Bill Cundiff, missed a chip shot 32 yard field goal with 15 seconds left. The kick would have sent the game into overtime and who knows what would have happened there.
The Giants were the recipient of not one, but two misplays by 49ers punt returner Kyle Williams. The first came when he got to close to a bouncing punt that hit him in the knee and he stood and watched as the Giants picked it up. The second came in overtime when he was returning another punt and fumbled that one as well. This fumble set up the game winning field goal giving the Giants a 20-17 victory.
Victories by the Giants and Patriots sets up a rematch of the Super Bowl played 4 years ago. That year, the Patriots were heavy favorites as they entered the game 18-0. The Giants pulled off one of the greatest upsets in sports history when Eli Manning hit Plaxico Burress with the game winning touch down pass late in the 4th quarter. Patriots' fans have been waiting ever since to get a little bit of revenge, and they'll get their chance in 2 weeks.
Editors Note: As a Patriots fan, it hurt saving that image to my computer.

Megaupload
The world's largest file-sharing website has been shut down today. Megaupload has been reportedly taken offline by the government and a few company employees are actually rumored to face charges and possible jail time. This alarming news follows the recent release that the acting CEO of the company is none other than rapper/producer Swizz Beatz. No further information has been revealed.
Snoop, Wiz and Juicy J - Smokin' On
The visuals for the song "Smokin' On" off off the new Cheech and Chong's mixtape entitled Mac and Devin Go To High School is made up of several concerts on their current tour. The music video is pretty subpar considering it lacks the personal touch of many of their last videos, such as "That Good" and "This Weed is Mine".

Weezy unveils "Trukfit"
Lil Wayne has recently teamed up with Karmaloop to drop his new clothing line that will be available come January. You will be able to chose from roughly 40 items, but come March they expect to have over 100 items available for purchase on the Karmaloop website. Here is a video from the launch party that took place over the weekend in NYC. Ignore what Russell Simmons has to say cause it doesn't really make much sense.

Transworld 30th Anniversary Interview with P-Rod
Transworld Skateboarding sat down for an interview with influential skater Paul Rodriguez for their 30 Most Influential Skaters of All-Time. P-Rod tells the history of how he got into skating and how after he was able to work up the courage to become friendly with the skaters he became increasingly overwhelmed by the culture. Apparently, it was his older sister that actually "planted the seed" for him to get into skating. Lastly, he discussed how he hopes that with his success he paved the way for younger athletes to get big name sponsors that will eventually propel them into the skating community and allow them to become as big of a name of as P-Rod is himself.

Off Canvas - Niels "Shoe" Meulman
Shoe Meulman is an artist from Amsterdam with a unique style called "Calligraffiti." Combining elements of graffiti and calligraphy font, Shoe uses push brooms to mime the strokes of fine brushes. The outcome is beautiful and gigantic script, spanning across a rooftop. One of six artists featured in Converse's Off Canvas exhibition last year, Meulman is a talented individual. Check out his site for some sweet stuff and examples of his work.

Lil Wayne: Devil Worshipping Illuminati Spawn
Whilst reading up on spring fashion, I happened to stumble across the most unusual bout of controversy surrounding Lil Wayne and a particular streetwear brand that has been on the rise in recent years - UNIF. Of course, all of this turned out to be the product of none other than the cradle of unbridled idiocy: Youtube. This video points to the rapper's choice of UNIF garments featuring "Illuminati symbolism" as evidence of his puppet-like manipulation by the government in order to exert mind control over the population, or something (pictured sporting UNIF's "End is at Hand" t-shirt).
Anyways, UNIF does seem to be capitalizing on the popular resurgence of New Age ideology and symbolism in this end-of-days era for their 2012 Spring Collection, fittingly titled "Go to Hell for Heaven's Sake." Witty and often offensive, the new spring line manifests as a fusion of 70's and 90's style with a punky, grunge edge (some items feature smiley faces, others suspiciously nazi-like symbols). Printed t-shirts are a leading feature in the collection, as is with the majority of streetwear companies. Some of them I would use as a rag to wax my car, some I could definitely see myself tossing on over a pair of shorts and heading to the beach, or skatepark, or like, the apocalypse or whatever dude. So what 's your opinion of their designs? ...Not that it matters or anything. Shop the collection here.

Lil Wayne set to publish memoirs about his stay at Rikers
As many people know Lil Wayne was incarcerated at Rikers Island for a gun possession charge back in March of 2010. During his 365 day stint, shortened to 8 months due to good behavior, Wayne dropped the album I Am Not a Human Being on September 27, his birthday. Then upon his release he dropped his much anticipated ninth studio album Tha Carter IV, and now he is releasing his memoirs from his days behind bars. The project is entitled Gone Till November and is scheduled to hit stores on Nov 28th.

Scott Campbell - "Paved With Good Intentions"
Next week marks the opening of artist Scott Campbell's first Euro solo show, titled "Paved With Good Intentions," in Singapore at Gallery Reis. This guy's work is nuts; it's clear his tattooing abilities influences his other work. One of his greatest feats is the use of uncut prints of U.S. bills, cutting designs into the sheets of cash that effectively sink into the green "canvas." Check out some of his work here, then peep his personal site to get a glimpse at his portfolio.

2012 Coachella Line-Up is Out
However, I'm really pleased to see Childish Gambino on the second stage, along with the likes of Radiohead, Noel Gallagher and A$AP Rocky. But do we really need Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg? I respect the hell out of them, cause they're probably the truest O.G.s in the game today, but Coachella? What do you guys think of the line-up; share your thoughts with us.
New REVOK, REYES and STEEL Mural in Long Beach
Wow, this is the kind of piece you look at that just screams greatness. Street art is such an unappreciated form of expression, due to its societal stereotype of vandalism and vulgarity. Conservative people simply do not understand, or care to try to understand, the complexity and beauty of art like this. The sheer size of the piece, the mediums used, the message delivered; everything is majestic in this mural from Revok, Steel and Reyes. Check out Revok's blog page for more of his personal work, as well as some other pieces they've all done together before.

Haroshi X Huf X DLX
Granted everyone has probably seen this image or one of the other art installations from this exhibit over the weekend floating on the web. But I am gonna still write about it because you might not know the background story behind it. Japanese artist Haroshi created six extremely unique works of art with old, used skate decks. The 200 decks used to create these artworks were skated by Dennis Busenitz, Peter Ramondetta, Tommy Guerrero, and none other than Keith Hufnagel himself. Sticking with name dropping each piece is unique to each skater.
The most widely known one cause it is quite simply the loudest, represents Peter Ramondetta
My pesonal favorite is the dog head made to resemble Busenitz's dog, Gary.
P.S. Most pieces were sold practically the same night the exhibit opened. For roughly $20,000-$30,000.

Asher Bradshaw
Asher Bradshaw (7 yrs old skater) from eDsanca on Vimeo.
Looks like we have a possible new Ryan Sheckler on our hands ladies and gentlemen. At 7 years old, Asher Bradshaw, has been skating for 2 years and has already become better than most kids my age. Granted kids my age have been skating for just about as long as he has been alive. So needless to say the kid has got some talent and could be the new kid phenom in the world of skating. Rumor is now that he has made his Youtube debut, his parents are looking to set up a Kickstarter project to fund a documentary, which will shed light on his amazing talent and hopefully propel him into the world of professional skating. After watching the video I am definitely rooting for the kid, as long as he doesn't grow up to be as big of a brat as Sheckler.

Touchscreen Gloves from Mujjo
Everyone hates that feeling of smudging your fresh iPhone screen; it's so unsightly to users. Never fear, Dutch innovators Mujjo have designed the Touchscreen gloves for your finger swiping needs. Using silver-coated nylon sewn throughout the glove, the phone's screen will still react to your touch while allowing you to keep your hands nice and toasty during the winter cold. Check out Mujjo's site for an in-depth description of the gloves' functionality.

Deer in Tube Socks: Charmaine Olivia's Vision
An artist I've been positively obsessed with recently is Charmaine Olivia, not only an accomplished painter, illustrator, and photographer, but also a gorgeous model herself. Accordingly she often paints what she knows: beautiful women (and who doesn't like that?).
Her work definitely has a hipster-ish tint, implementing many feathers, skulls, antlers, anchors, and triangles, but her oeuvre is quite varied and masterfully executed so it doesn't get boring or too artificially trendy. You can see a very comprehensive portfolio on her website.
Mom Unhappy With Recruit's Decision
Last night at the Under Armour All-American Game there were plenty of players that announced where they'll be playing College Football. None are being talked about more than Landon Collins. A native of Louisiana who chose Alabama over hometown LSU. As you can see, his mom wasn't too happy with his decision. If there's anything we all know, it's not to get mom mad. So I hope he's is happy with his decision, and I look forward to see what jersey mom has on the first time Bama and LSU play. Because if she's willing to show her displeasure like this on national television, I can definitely see her sporting an LSU sweatshirt and rooting against her son.
Ø.G.'s First T Shirt Release
Here at Ø.G., we value our loyal fans and followers. Without you, quite simply, we wouldn't be here. So we figured it only made sense for you guys to decide which shirt we should release first. As Jay Z once said, "Thanks to all the hustlers, and most importantly you, the customers." So please help us out and let us know which tee you think should be our first. Thanks so much. We hope to have these printed and ready for retail by the end of January.

Pusha T - What Dreams Are Made Of
G.O.O.D Music artist Pusha T gives us a black and white visual to his single "What Dreams Are Made Of", most commonly known for the fact Ric Flair goes on a pretty good rant to kick off the song. The almost Sin City like video is chalk full of the "white girl" and white girls alike. The next step for Pusha T, whose solo career has blown year, is still unclear, but you can certainly expect him on the G.O.O.D Music album that is supposed to drop later on this year.

Common - Raw (How You Like It)
Common gave us his latest music video today for "Raw(How You Like It)," off his recent album The Dreamer/The Believer. After dropping some pretty impressive music videos for other singles like "Blue Sky" and "Sweet", this music video just keeps up the trend. It essentially follows Common through an eventful night at what appears to be a modern day speakeasy, where he bottles a dude for a beautiful woman. Keepin' it classy and gangsta, Common........I like it.

Donda
As of now I'm sure most of our readers have heard or read Yeezy's Tweets about his new think tank or creative design company called Donda. From what I have read about his new endeavor, it seems like Yeezy is putting his money, prestige and influence to good work; trying to keep his creative drive alive by following his passion and heart. The creative group or team, if you may, is made up of 22 divisions, with everyone from video game developers to nutritionists and even car designers. Everyone can harp on the guy for being egotistical and boarder line crazy but aren't all geniuses lunatics. Their dreams and ideas are bigger than their head or even ego in Kanye's case, yes i know, hard to imagine. But how many other hip hop moguls you see putting their money into projects rather than bling? Look at Young Buck, guy is filing for bankruptcy cause he blew his load on bling, bitches and blow. I for one think Mr. West is doing the right thing, plus he is following through with his passion, something O.G. is familiar with and can respect.

The Hundreds x Red Heads
The Hundreds and more specifically Bobby Hundreds have been photographing different girls for their advertising and magazine for a while now. But I don't think anyone hotter than Hattie Watson has been featured yet. I'm not much for red heads but some of them bring are just gorgeous, i.e. Deborah Ann Woll. Most of you know her as Jessica from HBO's True Blood.

Artist JR releases "Encrages" Exhibition Video
The well known French artist, JR recently had his first major solo show at the Galerie Perrotin in Paris. Keep an eye out for JR's cameo in the video, he is rocking some ill shades.

Steve Powers' "Train to Always"
Street artist Steve Powers stopped into NYC to drop off a little present for Brookyln, a piece called "Train to Always." Formerly referred to by the pseudonym ESPO in his hometown of Philadelphia, his mural in Brooklyn is nothing short of amazing.
The piece is meant to convey the varying paths our lives take over the years, along with the countless emotions we endure throughout life. You have to look on in awe at the simplicity of this mural and the powerful message it delivers. It's funny, clever, sad and thought-provoking; all rolled into one solid piece of art. Head over to Steve's official site for a deeper look into his art.

Muuto - "Finding Home"
Danish design company Muuto has come out with a new short film, detailing their latest collection of furniture to be released this year. Titled Finding Home, the clip is light-hearted and funny but also showcases their unique and modern take on home furnishings. The company's name is derived from the term "muutos," which translates to "new perspective." They certainly put that on display with the video and their website. Definitely check it out here after you're done with the clip.

Nerdcore is Anything but 8-bit
The music industry incorporates various
different kinds of music and is always growing. One example can be
found in the 8 bit-boys. Self-titled “nerdcore” rappers, the 8
bit-boys rap using video games as their backdrop. They released their
first album, titled 8 bit diagrams
back in 2008, and are currently recording for another album. You can download a free version of the album from their website, but it contains less tracks than buying the full version.
If
anyone out there is a video game or hip hop fan, these unique songs
are worth a listen.
Skillz- 2011 Rap Up
Skillz dropped his annual end of the year recap over the weekend. It had some okay lines. But overall it wasn't his best. I used to look forward to this every year, but the last few haven't been what they were. Definitely not as good as they were back around 2005-2006ish. The Casey Anthony line was pretty good
"Couldn't take our eyes of Casey Anthony
Innocent? I was sure they caught her
Is it me or that one bad episode of Law & Order."
It just seems like he doesn't care about it anymore, just does it because he's expected to every year. Check it out for yourselves and you be the judge.

Curren$y - Plot Music
It only seems fitting that Curren$y drops new music very shortly after the ball drops in Times Square. He has been on some serious grind recently and it shows. Not only is he putting out track after track, mixtape after mixtape but he has artists signed to his label Jet Life. With the new addition of Sir Michael Rocks, Curren$y also has up-and-comers Trademark and Young Roddy, both featured on Jet Life World Order.

XV - #EndOfTheWorld
XV is most certainly one of my favorite new up and comers with songs like "Awesome," "Witchita" and "U.F.C." off of his last mixtape Zero Heroes. Newly dropped single "#EndOfTheWorld" is no different and has a nice beat complimented with catchy bars like "Sign out of Facebook and get some real friends, get off Twitter my ni**a and set some real trends" and intelligent lines like "If you think rap is just drugs and gats, then you are dead wrong, this is the paper my son's college funds are made on". I really hope that his uniqueness and specific message of knowledge and concept songs doesn't hurt him in the long run. But props to the XV for killing it again and giving his fans another quality track to listen to.
