Recently Forbes sat down with the "big boy, with a big boy bank", Mac Miller, to interview him after listing him on their prestigious 30 under 30. Mac is widely known as the first indie rapper to have a chart-topping debut album, along with many other accomplishments. Even without the help of a major label, gasp.
Two things I admire about Mac is as he says, "[he] thinks outside of the box." His videos and songs don't exactly fit the mold of rap, but they also don't fit the mold of indie. Somehow he has been able to find a medium between the two and struck gold in the process. Another thing I admire is that he strives to always push himself harder and farther, than where he is now. Lets be real, the kid is hot (no homo) right now, he has 1 million+ Twitter followers and 200 million+ YouTube hits, yet he has the frame of mind to think he hasn't hit his full potential yet. As he said, "My whole thing is always, no matter where I get is to never be satisfied." That is just something I can respect to the fullest, cause it is easy to sit back and say I accomplished my goals. But it is harder to say, aight what can I do next to push the bar even higher. That is what a real O.G. does.
