If you were ever to embark on a spirit quest by taking mescaline in a California desert among an electronic music-spewing young artists' colony who described themselves as proponents of the "American Spirit Eclectic," I imagine that your totem animal might appear to you as something quite like one of AJ Fosik's 3D scultpures. But that's just me. What can only be described as tribal, psychedelic nightmares of folklore characters from another dimension, Fosik assembles out of delightfully painted and patterned bits of wood.
