XV - #EndOfTheWorld

XV is most certainly one of my favorite new up and comers with songs like "Awesome," "Witchita" and "U.F.C." off of his last mixtape Zero Heroes. Newly dropped single "#EndOfTheWorld" is no different and has a nice beat complimented with catchy bars like "Sign out of Facebook and get some real friends, get off Twitter my ni**a and set some real trends" and intelligent lines like "If you think rap is just drugs and gats, then you are dead wrong, this is the paper my son's college funds are made on". I really hope that his uniqueness and specific message of knowledge and concept songs doesn't hurt him in the long run. But props to the XV for killing it again and giving his fans another quality track to listen to.

The Hundreds x Gilbere Forte

Front

The Hundreds is releasing special edition tees for the release of Gilbere Forte's Some Dreams Never Sleep EP. Can't find em on the Hundreds website, so it could be an in-store special, which means you gotta hit up Ebay.

Nike Air Force 1 in Grey/Cashmere

The all new, all-grey Nike Air Force 1 with a beige cashmere swoosh and heel tab is set to release in 2012. Nike is also laying off the luxury material used in earlier versions, so these shoes will better stand up to the test of time. But don't be scuffing em up.

Chrome Domes

The Oregon Ducks and The University of Wisconsin Badgers were hooked up by Nike with their helmets and uniforms for the record breaking game the other night. The helmet did cause controversy off the field because of the possibility of the sun reflecting off the headgear. It brings a new meaning to the phrase, "chrome dome".

Steve Jobs Action Figure

If you already have the Obama action figure you obviously have to get the new 12", incredibly lifelike Steve Jobs action figure. It comes wearing the classic turtle neck, jeans and New Balances. It almost freaks me out looking at the pictures. It is so remarkably similar that it makes me uncomfortable. But, apparently the Jobs family might take legal action against the manufacturer and these would be collectible deadstock items.

You know you want it!

Nitro Circus THE MOVIE 3D Trailer

First off, using a Braveheart quote to start off the trailer, absolutely genius. Following their ancestors Jackass, Travis Pastrana and his circus bin of loonies are taking their TV stunts to the big screen in 3D. Some of these stunts look insane; Chris Rock would put it, "Oh, my God, you done took this shit to the 'nother motherfuckin' level." Although a release date has yet to be set, cross your fingers for a summertime release. Make sure to watch all the way to the end for a pretty hilarious scene.

Some Pure New Year Joy

Well Happy 2012 everyone, we made it!  Another year down, another chance to start over with a fresh 365 days.  People make resolutions, buy new clothes, pay off some debts, meet new people, yada yada.  Often, everyone gets so caught up we lose sight of some of the more innocent joys in our lives.  Take this exhibit for example.

Down in Australia, artist Yayoi Kusama spent time painting this room completely white; ever chair, table, wall, shelf, etc.  In short, she made the room a completely blank canvas.  Young visitors to the museum were allowed to contribute to the project, and over a span of two weeks, happily plastered the room and its furnishings with thousands of stickers.

Called The Obliteration Room, kids happily stuck the walls and floors with various dots, over time creating a vibrant room of bright colors.  Who can't remember being told by their parents to not draw on walls or tables? Now, the freedom of youthful creativity is being embraced in Brisbane.  It's crazy to flip through the pictures and watch the project explode from a few colors to a full blown room of awe and wonder.  Scroll down to see a few more shots from the show.  Hope everyone had a fun time, back to the grind tomorrow.
