XV - #EndOfTheWorld
XV is most certainly one of my favorite new up and comers with songs like "Awesome," "Witchita" and "U.F.C." off of his last mixtape Zero Heroes. Newly dropped single "#EndOfTheWorld" is no different and has a nice beat complimented with catchy bars like "Sign out of Facebook and get some real friends, get off Twitter my ni**a and set some real trends" and intelligent lines like "If you think rap is just drugs and gats, then you are dead wrong, this is the paper my son's college funds are made on". I really hope that his uniqueness and specific message of knowledge and concept songs doesn't hurt him in the long run. But props to the XV for killing it again and giving his fans another quality track to listen to.

Chrome Domes
The Oregon Ducks and The University of Wisconsin Badgers were hooked up by Nike with their helmets and uniforms for the record breaking game the other night. The helmet did cause controversy off the field because of the possibility of the sun reflecting off the headgear. It brings a new meaning to the phrase, "chrome dome".

Some Pure New Year Joy
Well Happy 2012 everyone, we made it! Another year down, another chance to start over with a fresh 365 days. People make resolutions, buy new clothes, pay off some debts, meet new people, yada yada. Often, everyone gets so caught up we lose sight of some of the more innocent joys in our lives. Take this exhibit for example.
Down in Australia, artist Yayoi Kusama spent time painting this room completely white; ever chair, table, wall, shelf, etc. In short, she made the room a completely blank canvas. Young visitors to the museum were allowed to contribute to the project, and over a span of two weeks, happily plastered the room and its furnishings with thousands of stickers.
Called The Obliteration Room, kids happily stuck the walls and floors with various dots, over time creating a vibrant room of bright colors. Who can't remember being told by their parents to not draw on walls or tables? Now, the freedom of youthful creativity is being embraced in Brisbane. It's crazy to flip through the pictures and watch the project explode from a few colors to a full blown room of awe and wonder. Scroll down to see a few more shots from the show. Hope everyone had a fun time, back to the grind tomorrow.
